Miracles

Can miracles happen every day? I believe so! To think that a perfect and pure, Almighty God would send down his only Son to die so that a wretch like me could be saved. That is a miracle. That I am his treasure - that is a miracle. That he would answer amd honor a prayer of mine, any prayer at all, that is a miracle. That he would answer prayers, more than one a day, THAT is a miracle!!!
This song...How Deep the Father's Love for Us...

My life is a song. Once shattered and broken by sin, barely surviving, oppressed by the devil and bound in chains of sin...
I am free now. I am whole. Can it be? But it is! It's real! ...I'm SAVED! And it is a miracle.
Thank you, God, with heart aching inside my chest. Thank you, Jesus, for coming to save me!

Crazy Craziness!!!

Have you ever been through craziness that was extra crazy!? lol... It seems like every time the date for a big event at my church rolls around, I end up being sick that week! :[ Well, I am the pianist... and the new 2nd-3rd grade Sunday school teacher... and practicing a minimum of 8 songs a week, plus preparing my heart and the lesson for the following Sunday; added on top of that, part-time teacher to my 3 home schooled amazing siblings (not to mention their piano teacher), nanny to a two-year-old and her 6 month-old sister twice a week, and nursery-worker/counsellor on Friday nights at Reformers Unanimous (addiction program at my church, which btw is my favorite part of the week!)... SoOOoooOOoooo....
You probably can see the crazy craziness in my life and hopefully the high stress that comes with this kind of schedule (oh, and did I mention that I'm still in the photography business and haven't yet mastered it, while I'm still a burning, thirsty well for knowledge and learning about the body and health, natural healing...life in general???). And lest you think that the purpose for this post is to complain to y'all about my life, let me just say...I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! :) but.... not when I'm sick.
You better haul it, you virus or cold or whatever you are(!!!), because I don't have TIME for you! You know, I don't believe it is truly the Lord's will for us to be afflicted and sick.

For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men. Lamentations 3:33

Sometimes we get sick. Sometimes we eat in excess foods that we know are not profitable for our bodies, even though we know it's bad, and it reeeally catches up with us. Sometimes we inject harmful substances into our bodies that, may I say, the FDA report as beneficial to us, prompting us to start taking as young as possible: vaccinations (which I'm not blaming them for their judgment, I'm blaming us for our willing ignorance and carelessness in not studying these things out for ourselves). Sometimes we are away from God and in sin, stubborn, prideful, and must be broken. Sometimes it take that much. But when we turn back to him, he heals. Whether in this life, or by sending us to our next home. This is just my thoughts, and what I have experienced. But I do NOT believe God makes us unwell, or that it is His will for us to be so. I believe he is a God of healing, he is the great Physician after all. Anyway...

So, if you would please all pray that this cold/virus/SICKNESS would leave me I would very much appreciate it! God definitely wants us to take care of the bodies he's given us, and I'll admit, I do run around too much and don't rest like I need to when I'm unwell :[ I don't respect my body and nourish it at all times like I should. And now I'm convicting myself... ugh...
Psalm 119:71, It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
God spoke his creation into existence, but made our bodies with his very own hands, formed him from the dust and breathed life into him. Touched him with his holiness! Breathed his holy breath into man! Whyyyy do I speed along life's path and not stop to smell the roses and lie down in the green pastures (another rabbit trail...)!?
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 1 Corinthians 3:16-18
Are any of you convicted yet? Well you should be, because I am! We have got to honor our bodies, the temple of God! Christ sits at the right hand of God, as I speak, in the earthly body he rose from the dead in and ascended up into heaven in! He still has the nail scars, he bore our iniquities, our sicknesses and our infirmities while on this earth (Isaiah 53:4-5). And we ought to honor that. I ought to honor that. And I'll stop now, because I'm not sure where this will go if I keep on! ;)
